You have questions, we have answers. Or at least questionable advice. ML, Marc and Shawn pool their wisdom, while Joe considers referring them to the Employee Assistance Program.

STRAIGHT DOPE: Joe Jackson once crooned: “Though it’s oh so nice to get advice,It’s oh so hard to do.” Well, maybe for some stuck-up English piano player. ML, Marc and Shawn have no problem teaching life lessons to people seeking good counsel.

A greedy sister-in-law, a mother-in-law trying to horn her way into the delivery room, a grandma going nuts because of a dietary issue are among the thorny topics our fearless trio tackle.

Shawn says he’d rather be cheated on than to have to pick up your socks. Or so it seems based on his reaction to a woman seeking guidance on how to deal with her slob boyfriend. All of which reminds ML of this scene from Tommy Boy.

After listening to the many questions the crew considers, you may conclude that there are a lot of lame people out there afraid to stand up to overbearing mates. And you’d be right. Listen and learn how common this phenomena seems to be.

GEEK OF THE WEEK: Elon Musk has everything – including a (blue) check mark as this week’s geek.

ROOM 7609: Christmas is over, which is a good thing, because it turns out the Psychedelic Fur’s “Come All Ye Faith” has as much holiday cheer as a stocking full of coal.
